ghost

if you disappeared
a fire roar
all along my nerves
grey shreds dangling from curved bones

I picture slow years without thoughts.

structures swallowed up
by the mossland of our summers
sinking heavily as ancient bodies
the stones we threw

your scream at the end of a giant corridor, an alien embedded within my skin.
